About Us
Navopia (orginally Extreme Usability) was formed in late summer 2010 by Keith Doyle, and is already working on a project with a major UK university.
Keith has been working in user experience and the web since 1995. He has worked in the public sector and private sectors in universities, banks and service companies. He has experience of marketing (including being nominated for a national award), e-commerce (at one of the top UK banks), and intranets (in a University and a bank).
Navopia believes that the key to providing services which work is to understand the user experience and deliver sites which work for real people. No matter how good an idea, if the website doesn't work for people, it is unlikely to be used. And no matter how good a website is, it's always worth looking to see what improvements can be made.
Recognition for Keith's user experience skills includes: nomination for a national marketing award (Heist) for his work as web master at Manchester College of Arts & Technology; being recognised in an external audit for his work on the staff and student intranet at the University of Salford; massive increase in sales for a product at an online bank following usability testing.
Keith's passion for in user experience have been demonstrated through his active involvement in Northern User Experience, membership of professional bodies, speaking at conferences, writing papers for magazines.
